Silberman Student Advocacy Collective (SSAC) is a collective of volunteer students passionate about social justice, advancing one of New York City’s most progressive social work graduate programs, and more equity in Silberman’s MSW programs.

Our liberation is tied with your liberation.

Our Operational Structure

  • We define the longer-terms strategic goals of the student body and work collaboratively with the Silberman administration to achieve goals requested by the student body. Equivalent to an “executive'“ branch.

  • We do on-the-ground work for organizing: Creating connections with students, planning events and activations, and getting the word out about our initiatives. Equivalent to a 'Legislative” branch.

  • We streamline all communications, manage our social channels, and make sure our student body is aware of all events, resources and current opportunities.

  • Our peer support network provide mentorship and assistance to first year students.
